Karen is a psychology professor with over 20 years of experience studying important issues in society such as prejudice, inequality, and political attitudes.
Originally born in Australia she moved to Herne Bay fifteen years ago and works at the University of Kent where she is an active member of the University and College Union. Karen is an Associate Editor of the British Journal of Social Psychology and has been involved in providing evidence to the government on how conspiracy theories around COVID vaccinations took hold during the pandemic.
She enjoys the outdoors and lives near the seaside in Herne Bay with her family and springer spaniel Millie.
