Nicola has worked in housing and housing advice for the past 18 years for local authorities, housing associations and charities.
She strongly believes that the provision of decent and affordable housing is the foundation of people being able to live well and thrive within their community. Over the past couple of years, Nicola has been involved in several community projects including the successful bid to improve Cornwallis Circle play area in Whitstable, helping to the set up the Whitstable Welcome Network to assist Ukrainian families arriving in Whitstable, helping to organise cost of living events in both Whitstable and Canterbury and has been supporting the campaign to save the local Children’s Centres.
Nicola grew up in Canterbury and now lives in Whitstable with her husband and two children.
She enjoys being active and particularly enjoys swimming and playing squash. As a keen walker she is passionate about preserving our beautiful green spaces and ancient woodland.
